Tencel is made of wood pulp by solvent spinning process. Tencel fabric has both the comfort of cotton and the high strength of polyester. It is a kind of fabric commonly used in the production of work clothes. The fabric generally has a sense of luxury. Tencel is also popular with many female friends, but people only know how to wear but do not know how to maintain, resulting in a greatly shortened service life of work clothes, This article will introduce the cleaning and maintenance skills of Tencel fabric.
Tencel has high rigidity, and the clothes will not shrink after washing. Its fiber section is large and circular, so it will have good moisture absorption and breathability. The fabric is very good in both the sense of elegance and drape. However, Tencel will harden and deteriorate under some conditions due to the characteristics of the fiber itself, so it is necessary to pay attention to these maintenance skills.
Cleaning and maintenance skills of Tencel fabric
1. Tencel can be washed or dry cleaned. If the clothes are not very dirty, dry cleaning is recommended. Frequent washing will cause damage to the cloth surface more or less.
2. Generally speaking, the cleaning temperature should be below 30 ℃. Even if Tencel is not easy to shrink, but the temperature is too high, it will still shrink.
3. Because the silk fabric fiber is more simple to break than other fibers, the force should be moderate when washing, and it can be gently dried after washing. Do not dry it for a long time in the hot sun, nor take it to the washing machine for dehydration or drying.
4. If it is necessary to iron, it is recommended to iron the clothes at medium temperature or low temperature when they are eight minutes dry. Too wet or too dry will cause damage to the real silk.
5. In order to avoid stiff clothes, if the silk work clothes are not worn for a long time, remember to wash and dry them and pack them with cloth bags.
6. If conditions permit, use special detergent for silk fabrics. If not, use neutral detergent. Acidity or alkalinity will corrode the fabric.
7. Tencel is simply torn by hard objects, and it can't be repaired after being damaged. Therefore, Dim sum should be left in daily wear.
