Is Tencel fabric prone to wrinkles? Tencel fabric is prone to wrinkling, which is one of the characteristics of Tencel fabric and also a characteristic or disadvantage of almost all recycled cellulose fabrics. How to solve the problem of silk fabric wrinkling that day?
If the fabric is already made, additives can only be used to remedy it, such as anti wrinkle and non ironing treatment, or applying a layer of elastic silicone on the back of the fabric. This method of improving the wrinkle resistance of Tencel fabric is not satisfactory. If the Tencel fabric clothing is already ready, only water washing and maintenance suggestions can be provided on the water washing label. For example, do not dehydrate too dry during cleaning, as the weight of water will make the Tencel clothing smoother when hanging dry; When storing Tencel clothing, it should be folded and flattened in a timely manner, and it is best to use hanging clothes; It is best to iron with medium temperature steam before wearing.
Tencel fabric is prone to wrinkles, and the methods and effects of repairing it on fabrics or clothing are limited. It is best to use more methods in fabric design for better results, and prevention is definitely a better choice. We know that polyester has good wrinkle resistance in chemical fibers, and adding polyester to Tencel fabric can be considered as a solution.
The easiest way to add polyester to the Tencel fabric is to use Tencel in the warp direction and polyester in the weft direction. We have tried three types of polyester fibers, using polyester filaments in the weft direction, especially those with a diameter of over 150D, which are prone to chicken feet marks after dyeing. Although high temperature and wide stretching can solve this problem, the fabric effect and feel may not match the natural silk face; The 1:1 spacing arrangement of weft oriented Tencel and polyester monofilament can reduce the polyester content, but the weaving cost is high and the fabric surface is also uneven; Polyester monofilament is used in the warp direction and Tencel yarn is interwoven in the weft direction, and there are also issues with chicken feet and unevenness; The weft direction is interwoven with polyester short fiber yarn, especially ultra-fine denier polyester short fiber yarn, which has the best effect and can improve the wrinkle prone characteristics of the Tencel fabric while also considering its proper appearance value.
Adding polyester to the Tencel fabric can also be done by looking at the yarn. I have developed Tencel polyester 5050 blended yarn before, but the effect is still impressive; For example, using Tencel yarn as the core wire, wrapped with polyester monofilament or polyester monofilament as the core wire, and wrapped with Tencel fiber spinning fabric to improve the wrinkle prone effect of Tencel fabric should be better than directly using polyester monofilament.
